Demonstration of Smart Healthcare System Prototype Using IoT Application

With the advancement in Wireless Sensors Network, communication technologies, Internet of things, Cloud, Machine Learning, etc., smart applications such as smart healthcare system development has become achievable with ensured efficiency, reliability, security, affordability, usability, etc. Biomedical sensors spanned over human body forming Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) to sense and transmit human body vitals to the processing server through communication links are variedly available with acceptance range of accuracy, reliability ensuring continuous, remote health monitoring. Enabling technologies such as high speed Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, cloud storage and processing have aided such automated healthcare prototypes to be in place for use in parallel to the traditional healthcare system. This chapter illustrated different aspects of healthcare prototype development, development and working of different health monitoring prototypes for body vitals monitoring, Human Activity Monitoring, Fall monitoring, etc., to aid the people specially elderly ones to lead a quality living.
