Detecting earthquakes is crucial, for reducing the impact of events on the environment and infrastructure, around us. This initiative presents an affordable and effective earthquake monitoring setup that leverages the ESP32 microcontroller alongside the MPU6050 sensor. With its 3 axis gyroscope and accelerometer capabilities the MPU6050 records live data, which is then analyzed by the ESP32 to spot earthquake occurrences using preset parameters. The system improves its features by incorporating email alert notifications, for performance. The ESP32 device automatically sends an email to chosen recipients upon detecting an earthquake. This helps in alerting individuals in time to enable quick responses. This solution based on the Internet of Things (IoT) is small in size cost effective and energy efficient making it suitable for use in regions, to earthquakes. The suggested system showcases how inexpensive hardware and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies can be used to develop earthquake detection systems that’re both accessible and dependable. This provides a method, for warning systems and disaster readiness.
