Efficacy of Plyometric Training Versus Postural Exercises in Volleyball Players on Improving Their Landing Mechanics and Functional Performance Using AI Software
摘要
The association between knee valgus and increased injury risk in volleyball players is well-established; however, research on the relationship between knee valgus and landing mechanics, vertical jump (VJ) performance is lacking. Increased dynamic knee valgus angles brought on by neuromuscular imbalances of the lumbopelvic hip complex may represent one reason for the differences in injury rates. A total of 104 subjects with volleyball players were selected using simple random sampling techniques, after which detailed study procedures were explained to players. The participants aged from 18 to 25 years and both male and female gender had been analyzed. The 52 individuals in each group into two groups. Both the groups pretest results from, vertical jump test, landing error scoring system, drop jump test were documented. Intervention consisted of 8 weeks with 3 sessions per week. The mean post values of LESS for experimental and control groups are 4.85 and 9.60 and post values of knee valgus for experimental and control groups for male is 9.42 and 7.65 and post values for females for experimental and control groups are 11.58 and 7.88 and post values for vertical jump test are analyzed for both males and females separately and values for male experimental and control groups are 18.00 and 13.96 and post values for female for experimental and control groups are 15.96 and 12.12 and detailed results were tabulated in tables with respective for each outcome measure. The study concluded that the plyometric training was more effective than postural exercises.
