Unlocking the Potential: The Impact of Calisthenics on Knee Osteoarthritis Pain Management and Balance Enhancement Analyzed with Spss Software
摘要
The study’s objective is to analyse the impact of calisthenics exercises in decreasing pain and enhancing balance in osteoarthritis of knee by using NPRS scale to assess pain severity and timed up and go test to assess a person’s balance and mobility. About 78 participants of both genders aged above 50 years were selected by using NPRS based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. These 78 participants were assigned to two groups. Participants in group a performed strengthening exercises for knee osteoarthritis, while group b performed calisthenics exercises. The tables were tabulated and statistically evaluated. The pre-test and post-test values were evaluated using SPSS software, indicating that the calisthenics group demonstrated significant improvement compared to the strengthening group, with p-value <0.001. According to this study, the calisthenics group had superior outcomes in decreasing pain and enhancing balance among osteoarthritis knee subjects when compared to the strengthening group.
