Snoring leads to various health issues, with obesity being most prevalent. Oropharyngeal exercise enhances airway muscles and reduces snoring frequency. Pranayama improves sleep quality and breathing. This study evaluated the effectiveness of Bhramari pranayama and Nadishodhana pranayama with oropharyngeal exercise on snoring intensity and sleep quality using the SnoreLab app and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). 60 participants meeting the selection criteria were equally divided into two groups. Treatment lasted 6 days a week for 6 weeks. The Bhramari group received oropharyngeal exercise (30 min) and Bhramari pranayama (20 cycles), while Nadishodhana group received oropharyngeal exercise (30 min) and Nadishodhana pranayama (20 cycles). Paired and unpaired t-tests analyzed pre-test and post-test results. Both the groups showed significant improvement, but Nadishodhana Pranayama group results were comparatively higher in reducing snoring intensity and improving sleep quality among obese habitual snorers with p value < 0.0001 in SnoreLab app and p = 0.0004 in PSQI.
