As a relatively complex physical analysis method, multi-physical field coupling typically involves interactions between two or more physical fields. Coupling analysis is divided into two categories: sequential coupling and direct coupling. Sequential coupling uses the results of prior physical field calculations as a basis for subsequent analyses of other physical fields. In contrast, direct coupling employs a coupling element type incorporating all necessary degrees of freedom and achieves coupling by calculating the element matrices or element load vectors containing the required physical quantities.
