What role did the state play while massive violations of Dalit human rights were being violated? The role played by different political parties which were actively pursuing their political ideology and agenda during this time period has been assessed too. While examining the role of state it has looked in to the role played by local and state level administration and more importantly the police and their ways of handling during this time period. The role played by the judiciary and media is also an important aspect which has been given prominence in this chapter.
