Dalit Human Rights in Bihar
摘要
The state of Bihar has been in the news for a long time now for serious violations of Dalit human rights. The chapter explains how and why the situation turned so hostile, leading to Dalit human rights violations on a large scale. Along with this, an attempt has also been made to highlight specific cases, from the Belchi massacre of 1977 to the Laxmanpur Bathe massacre in 1997. The chapter also details the miserable life conditions of Dalits in the erstwhile central Bihar.
