Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, proposed at a meeting of the Central Financial and Economic Leading Group on October 10, 2015, that “China should deepen the supply-side structural reforms and improve the quality and efficiency of the supply system, while moderately expanding aggregate demand.” Subsequently, at the G20 meeting on October 15, General Secretary Xi Jinping reiterated that we should pay much attention to the synergy on the supply side and the demand side. So far, supply-side reform has entered the stage for public discussion on the decision-making.
