Lu Ji (A.D. 261–303), with the courtesy name of Shiheng, was born in Wuxian County (now Suzhou area, Jiangsu Province). After the fall of the Kingdom of Wu, he served in the Jin Dynasty and held the position of the Interior Minister of Pingyuan, known as Lu Pingyuan. Later, he served under the Prince of Chengdu, Sima Ying, but was defeated in the Rebellion of the Eight Princes and killed by Sima Ying.
