The era from disease-centered to patient-centered has arrived. Traditional medical management and services primarily focus on disease diagnosis and treatment. In contrast, patient-centered medical models emphasize prevention and health management. These models adopt a life-cycle approach to healthcare, aiming to help patients better manage their health and reduce both the occurrence and recurrence of diseases. Intelligent healthcare, powered by new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), enables intelligent and specialized medical management, enhancing patient care and making treatment more humane. This approach aligns seamlessly with the principles of human-centered AI (HCAI). This chapter explores the concept of patient-centered intelligent healthcare. It examines the development of HCAI technology in the medical field. The discussion also covers the role of human–computer interaction in patient-centered intelligent healthcare management and services. It also addressed key issues surrounding the integration of HCAI technology with personalized diagnosis and treatment processes across various clinical scenarios. Finally, the chapter looks forward to the future research directions for advancing patient-centered intelligent healthcare.

摘要
