Green Development and Climate Adaptation for Urban and Rural Areas
摘要
Cities face increasing climate risks due to high concentrations of population and economic activity. The countryside is also facing a changing climate, affecting the rural population and the harvest yields they depend on. The progressive nature of climate change, combined with already densely populated areas, increases difficulty of action. At the same time, due to their social and economic strength and importance, densely populated urban and rural areas can become transformational centers for climate adaptation.
