Circular Economy
摘要
The high demand for raw materials in a largely linear economy is one of the main causes of the climate crisis, pollution, and biodiversity loss. According to UNEP [98], over 55% of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and 40% of the health effects of particulate matter are caused by the extraction and processing of material resources. The transition to a circular economy is crucial for the achievement of global and national climate and environmental goals, as it reduces the use of primary resources and the associated emissions as well as the pressure on ecosystems and biodiversity.
