This chapter highlights the growing need for international collaboration and innovation to address the rising challenges of space sustainability. The chapter provides a sound overview of key technical, legal, economic, and social barriers, such as space debris, orbital congestion, regulatory gaps, and economic inequalities. Ethical concerns such as equitable access to space, responsible resource utilisation, and the environmental impact of space activities are also critically examined. The chapter argues that strengthening global partnerships, harmonising regulatory frameworks, and responsibly embracing technological advancements are essential to ensure a sustainable and inclusive future in space. The chapter also emphasises that only through cooperative, multi-stakeholder efforts can long-term space sustainability be effectively achieved.
