The present chapter, by drawing upon theories from modern translation studies, examines the Hong Kong bilingual translator C.C. Jane Lai and her own endeavors to reproduce the verbal music in light of the norms of performativity, readability, and acceptability. The major focus of the study is on the strategies and norms adopted and the aesthetical effect achieved in the receptor language culture.
