Festival Tourism Planning: Integrating Cultural Authenticity and Strategic Innovation
摘要
FestivalAuthenticity plannersCultural are therefore both cultural go-betweens and image-makers, adapting local customs to make them fun for people of all backgrounds. Good festivals encourage not only tourists to visit, but also to learn about the history, cultural heritage, folk customs of the area, and a senseSense of community and belonging. The key questions are how can we brainstorm festivals that are also creative? How do we balance the needs of participants, sponsors and local communities with marketing objectives and broader aims? How can planners plan experiences that encourage shared emotion, social bonding and revive the kind of transformative “community feeling” that festival involvement often evokes? This chapter aims to provide a detailed answer to these questions through a discussion about the core concepts governing festival tourism planning along with the preparation of planning documents and incorporation of design strategies. The idea here is to develop concise, clear and feasible proposals for planning, emphasizing creativity, feasibility and cultural resonance.
