Shaping the Low-Altitude Economy: Technology, Infrastructure, and Policy through Urbanimmunology
摘要
This chapter examines how Urbanimmunology can inform the development of disruptive technologies within the low-altitude economy (LAE) and the essential infrastructure required to support them. By drawing parallels between the immune system and LAE systems, it proposes an innovative approach to policymaking that integrates immune-like principles—such as surveillance, adaptive learning, threat detection, and response coordination—into the design of LAE technologies and infrastructure. The chapter explores how these principles can guide the advancement of disruptive technologies related to drones, urban air mobility, traffic management, and energy storage, etc. Additionally, it highlights how Urbanimmunology can inform the creation of key LAE infrastructure, such as vertiports, drone management systems, and communication networks, ensuring their resilience and efficiency. By applying this immune-based framework, the chapter offers a groundbreaking perspective on how to foster the sustainable growth of LAE systems while ensuring their ability to adapt to new challenges, enhancing system integration and coordination across sectors.
