China’s Role and Contributions

After its return to the global stage following Nixon’s historic visit and the restoration of relations with Western nations, as well as its return to the United Nations, the role of the People’s Republic of China has been evolving and changing as the country grows and develops. Its increased economic influence and status as the largest trading partner of many nations has given it increased political and diplomatic influence, which has enabled it to contribute considerably to resolving global conflict and maintaining global peace.
