Beyond the State—Innovative Forms of Exchange

Compounded by more than three years of travel restrictions and policy limitations due to the Covid-19 pandemic that decimated exchange both at the official as well as the person-to-person level, China’s reputation, inherently burdened by bias and misconception, has had a harder time bouncing back compared with its economic recovery that has surpassed most of the rest of the world.
