On the Sharing of Ideas and Power of Dialogue
摘要
As a leading Chinese think tanker and scholar, I am frequently invited to speak at a wide range of forums, exchanges, and events, mostly on topics related to China’s role in the world and what it is planning next. Inevitably, I find that my audiences are woefully uninformed on China’s current situation, its intentions, and its potential contribution to the world. What’s worse is that most of them have either never been to China or at least haven’t visited China for a number of years. When changes are happening at what has been called “China speed,” this means that their viewpoint is more than likely completely out of date.
