Prospects of China-Hungary Economic Cooperation in Post-COVID Era

The Second World War catalyzed the decline of colonialism and the rise of new states, including China. Following a transformative revolution, China has experienced unparalleled growth in the twenty-first century. Its initial focus on regional influence in Asia has expanded globally, facilitated by technological advancements. Key projects like the Belt and Road Initiative have significantly increased China’s geopolitical reach. Hungary has become particularly important in this context, with cooperative projects ranging from railway construction to agricultural ties strengthening bilateral relations. This study aims to explore the deepening of these ties in the post-COVID era, focusing specifically on economic aspects and areas of mutual benefit.
