Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine: NATO’s Evolving Strategy and Its Impact on Eastern Europe

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022 caused the deepest post-Cold War security crisis in Europe, leading to fundamental changes in US and NATO security policies. NATO considerably increased its military presence on its eastern flank, positioning additional troops and defense systems in Eastern European states like Poland and the Baltic States.
