Relay Protection Risk Warning System

Traditional relay protection strategies are designed based on static network structures and predetermined operating modes, making it difficult to adapt to the rapidly changing operational requirements of power grids. When the operating mode of the grid changes, if the relay protection fails to adjust in a timely manner, it may lead to inaccurate protection actions, or even malfunctions and failures, thereby increasing operational risks and causing accidents to escalate, affecting the safety and stability of the power grid. To address this challenge, a relay protection risk warning system based on changes in the operating mode of the power grid is proposed. This system acquires real-time data from the power monitoring system, identifies the current operating mode of the grid online, and predicts the operational trends of the grid for a certain period ahead. By combining maintenance plans and relay protection operation procedures, it provides advance notifications to relay protection personnel to promptly adjust the relay protection devices, thus enhancing the accuracy and reliability of relay protection and reducing operational risks.
