Research on the Method of Fast Capacity Verification of Batteries Used in Substations

摘要

In view of the low efficiency of offline methods and insufficient accuracy of online methods in substation battery capacity testing, this study proposed a fast capacity testing method based on multi-source data fusion. By building a cyclic discharge test platform, three groups of valve-regulated lead-acid batteries were tested for 40 charge and discharge cycles, and seven-dimensional parameters including terminal voltage, discharge time, and remaining capacity were collected. Results show that the terminal voltage and capacity has a significant linear relationship in the early and middle stages of discharge, but the law is weakened due to the nonlinear change of internal resistance in the deep discharge stage. The “sawtooth fluctuation” phenomenon is common in the process of capacity attenuation. To this end, this study established a fast capacity testing model based on the least squares method. It helps to realize the rapid evaluation of battery capacity and provides an efficient solution for the health status evaluation of substation batteries.
