摘要

The technological advancement of Industry 4.0/5.0 provides digital capabilities to ensure product quality in throughout various phases of the product lifecycle. The proposed contribution illustrates the role of artificial intelligence dedicated models in improving the product quality in different lifecycle phases. In the product design phase, a complex system design process takes benefits from the application of model-based system engineering (MBSE) frameworks according to the ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288. AI/ML capabilities, as defined in ISO/IEC 5338:2023, are implemented for the early generation and integration of the physical product quality properties as requirements for complex system design. These capabilities are also utilised during the verification and validation of systems. During the production phase, cyber-physical production systems (CPPS) provide self-adaptive capabilities to control manufacturing operations and human behaviour. Using IIoT and AI, our contribution enables the early detection of deviations during product transformation and assembly operations. We ensure the adaptation of manufacturing resources (both machines and humans) through continuous defect inspection and mitigation. In the product exploitation phase, monitoring of product exploitation conditions is not often feasible when the product is used in a closed or isolated environment. By using AI for analysing and decomposing the product defects, we identify additional quality requirements to enhance product resilience. Our AI model allows to predict the minimal exploitation duration and the date for the first failure. The proposed product quality topics are analysed, and innovative architectural and technological solutions are proposed and discussed in this contribution.
