Research on LAM process monitoring and control has developed rapidly over the past decade, resulting in a substantial body of influential literature. In this chapter, representative studies, selected based on the authors’ perspective, are introduced and studied. These works are examined in terms of LAM monitoring systems, process control strategies, signal and image analysis, and intelligent methods. Current research and development trends are also summarized and discussed.
