Digital Medicines for the Management of Dementia with Its Related Disorder
摘要
The increasing prevalence of dementia and its related disorders poses significant challenges for healthcare systems worldwide. Digital medicines, encompassing mobile health applications, wearable devices, artificial intelligence (AI)-driven diagnostics, telemedicine, and electronic health monitoring systems, offer innovative solutions for dementia management. These technologies enable early detection, personalized treatment, remote patient monitoring, and improved caregiver support. AI and machine learning algorithms enhance diagnostic accuracy by analyzing behavioral and cognitive patterns, while digital therapeutics provide cognitive training and behavioral interventions. Telemedicine facilitates access to specialist care, reducing the burden on patients and caregivers. Despite their potential, challenges such as data privacy, user accessibility, and regulatory compliance remain. This chapter will illustrate how to develop the AI model from clinical data, and explore the current landscape of digital medicines in dementia care and highlighting their benefits, limitations, and future directions for integration into clinical practice.
