With the rapid development of China’s energy and transport industries, buried metal pipelines are facing increasingly severe AC interference. The study shows that the assessment of AC corrosion likelihood should be based on the measurement of AC and DC related parameters. However, there is still a lack of systematic research on the changing law of AC interference parameters on pipelines and effective testing methods. In this work, indoor and outdoor simulation experiments were carried out, as well as long-term detection and systematic analysis of changes in AC interference parameters on pipelines in different environments. Effective test methods for AC interference parameters on pipelines are proposed to provide guidance for AC corrosion risk assessment.
