Cathodic Protection for Subsea Production Facilities for 1200 Meters Deep Water Oil and Gas Field Development Project
摘要
During the development of deep water oil and gas fields, because of the high pressure and low temperature environment impact of deep water environment, along with excessively high operating medium temperatures, casue rapid consumption of deep water anodes. In order to ensure the operation safety of the deep water production facilities, the deep water corrosion and protection technology have gradually become the key influencing factors of deep water oil and gas development, deep water coating system combined with the cathodic protection system in deep water environment is particularly important for oil and gas development. This paper discusses the technical requirements for the design of cathodic protection systems necessary for deep water operations. It focused on the coating systems and cathodic protection during the development of deep water oil and gas fields (at a depth of 1,200 m) and analyzes inspection data obtained from Remotely Operated vehicle (ROVs). Combining this with high pressure autoclave experiments and corrosion test data from 1,200 m deep water, it conducts case studies and laboratory data analysis of anti-corrosion systems. Based on the special characteristics of deep water corrosion environment, design principles of future deep water projects are provided to guide the anti-corrosion safety of deep water subsea production facilities during the development of deep water offshore oil and gas fields.
