When It Is Solitary
摘要
Danny is a 14-year-old boy, previously healthy but obese since childhood. He was detected to have hypertension with a blood pressure of 140/85 mmHg by routine health check, and he was referred for assessment. The clinical history was insignificant, and physical examination only showed a body mass index of 30.2 kg/m2. The blood test showed normal renal function, and urine protein/creatinine was normal. A USG kidney was ordered to work up his hypertension. It showed a normal-sized kidney, but a renal cyst was detected in the left kidney (Fig. 19.1). Does this renal cyst have clinical relevance?
