The Projection Onto System Plane

Chapter 3 examines the role of system security within intelligent computing networks, highlighting its transition from traditional control mechanisms to dynamic coordination in open and coupled environments. As computing power is distributed to edge devices and intelligent models are deployed across diverse device categories, systems have evolved from isolated units to integral components of data flow and algorithm scheduling. This chapter introduces the concept of “projection onto the system plane” to analyze how system security impacts the overall security state, considering the interdependencies among system, data, and algorithm security. It addresses three key areas: the propagation of system security incidents through data and algorithmic paths, the limitations of current security mechanisms under dynamic and heterogeneous conditions, and a proposed system security framework that integrates cross-layer perception and local autonomy. The chapter advocates for a shift from static protection to dynamic collaboration and from localized control to holistic governance to enhance system stability and resilience.
