Rare Inflammatory Lesions of the Pancreas
摘要
This chapter presents five cases of rare inflammatory lesions of the pancreas: eosinophilic pancreatitis, two variants of follicular pancreatitis (with pseudotumor sign and ductal dilatation), pancreatic tuberculosis misdiagnosed as a cystic neoplasm, and pancreatic abscess. Each case includes patient information, imaging findings, pathological features, and a discussion highlighting diagnostic challenges and differentiation from malignancies. Key imaging modalities (CT and MRI) are detailed, alongside gross and microscope pathological descriptions. The chapter emphasizes the overlapping clinical and radiological features of these rare entities with more common pancreatic neoplasms, undersocring the importance of histopathological confirmation and multidisciplinary collaboration for accurate diagnosis. These cases aim to enhance recognition of these conditions to avoid unnecessary surgical intervention and guide appropriate management.
