Designing Sports Toys for Children with ADHD: Enhancing Their Focus and Fun
摘要
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), commonly known as hyperactivity, is a syndrome occurring in childhood, characterized by significant difficulty in maintaining attention, a brief attention span, and excessive or impulsive activity compared to peers. This project aims to design and develop the “Children’s Agility Ball Response Trainer” and the “Children’s Fun Response Exercise Mat” for children with ADHD and other attention deficits. These toys are based on the theories of executive function and sensory integration, and the project incorporates insights from interviews with relevant families and institutions. By searching the relevant literature in China’s National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), it provides theoretical and inspirational support for product design. The project aims to create effective motor toys that enhance physical fitness, improve executive function, and improve concentration in children with ADHD. This project, encapsulated by the motto “Educational Fun, Focused Efforts,” aims to promote the growth and development of children with ADHD, enabling them to better adapt to school life.
