This chapter examines the status and key topics of Persian dubbing, voice-over, and audio descriptions. It begins by providing an overview of influential publications that have shaped the contemporary landscape of Persian revoicing, excluding media interpreting, which remains an unexplored area in Persian audiovisual translation. The discussion is structured around the major methodological approaches in audiovisual translation, highlighting future directions and research gaps that offer significant potential for advancing revoicing scholarship. The chapter first addresses dubbing, the most extensively researched modality, before focusing on voice-over and audio description, which, despite their practical significance, have received comparatively limited academic attention.
