Riverbasin Information Modeling:Concept, Connotation, and Application Patterns
摘要
As an integrated natural geographical unit, river basins inherently involve multifaceted data sources and complex interdependent elements. Current watershed management systems frequently encounter challenges, including fragmented data collection mechanisms, substantial information redundancy, and duplicated application development efforts, resulting in inefficient allocation of human, material, and financial resources. To address these systemic issues through comprehensive information integration and promote intelligent watershed governance, this study proposes Riverbasin Information Modeling (RIM) as an innovative digital framework. The research conducts a conceptual analysis of the RIM architecture while systematically clarifying its operational scope, core components, and implementation methodology. The theoretical foundations and practical implementation pathways established through this research substantiate RIM’s critical role in enabling data-driven watershed management and the digital transformation of water resource systems.
