The Effect of Sharing Situational Information on Reducing Driving Anger
摘要
Driving anger poses significant threats to road safety, demanding for timely and effective intervention. This study took a different perspective that proactively shares leading vehicles’ situational information to nearby drivers. Via a qualitative pilot study (small-scale sample) and a quantitative 576-participant test using the DSA (Driving State Awareness) Scale, we preliminarily validated the efficacy of contextual information sharing in reducing driving anger. Furthermore, comparative analysis of content type, presentation form, and placement position revealed participants’ preferences for maneuvering suggestions and rear window display. These findings enriched the construction and the design of multimodal emotion regulation modules for intelligent cockpits.
