Bacillus in Agriculture: Past, Present, and Future
摘要
Bacillus in agriculture has developed dramatically, from early discoveries in pest control to their roles in plant growth promotion, soil health improvement, and sustainable farming techniques. This chapter focuses on the morphological differences, historical landmarks, and many processes by which Bacillus improves crop production. The emphasis is on its application in biofertilizers, biopesticides, and biostimulants, as well as its synergistic interactions with other beneficial microorganisms and incorporation with current technologies such as synthetic biology and precision agriculture. The chapter finishes with an overview of future opportunities, difficulties, and developments in the agriculture industry, highlighting Bacillus as a key microorganism of environmentally friendly and resilient agricultural systems.
