Dynamic projection mapping (DPM) is a technology that overlays virtual imagery onto moving physical objects in real time. By creating dynamic virtual appearances that adapt to the ever-changing surroundings, DPM enables the direct manipulation of Shitsukan, namely the perceived material properties of objects. This chapter reviews the current state, capabilities, and potential of this dynamic projection of Shitsukan; examines the technological advances in sensing, tracking, and projection systems that underlie it; and explores its wide range of applications across diverse industries. Finally, the chapter discusses future trends and challenges, offering insights to guide ongoing research and development in this rapidly evolving field.

摘要
