Reduction of Machine Setup Time for Manufacturing Sandwich Panel

摘要

This action research aims to reduce setup time of a sandwich panel manufacturing machine. Critical path method (CPM), single minute exchange of die (SMED) and Kaizen were applied for improvement. It was found that machine setup time was reduced from 1 h and 39 min to 53 min (47.14% decrease).
