A Lexicographic Fuzzy Multi-objective Goal Programming Model for Production Planning: A Case Study of Electric Vehicle Component Supplier

摘要

Efficient production planning is essential in electrical automotive manufacturing, where demand fluctuations and resource constraints are crucial challenges. This study presents a fuzzy multi-objective goal programming model to optimize scheduling, costs, and operational efficiency. The proposed model utilized Lexicographic Fuzzy Goal Programming (LFGP) to preemptively address three main objectives: maximizing resource utilization, reducing the probability of late deliveries, and minimizing total costs. Solving the production planning problem of a case study electrical automotive component supplier demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed model. With the relaxation parameters for the first two objectives at 0.99 and 0.97 respectively, the proposed model obtained resource utilization of 99.9936%, the probability of late deliveries reduced from 25.00% to 5.98%, and total costs of 4.81 million. The proposed method significantly enhances decision-making, ensuring improved reliability and adaptability in uncertainty-driven manufacturing environments. These results highlight the potential for wide-range applications in production planning.
