摘要

This paper addresses the challenges of traditional marker-based motion capture systems in gait analysis particularly in resource-limited settings. It highlights the limitations of using a reduced number of cameras which can lead to marker occlusion and compromised gait accuracy. To overcome these challenges, a novel methodology is proposed that integrates mathematical modeling with a design thinking approach to estimate the trajectories of obscured markers. The approach enhances the reliability of biomechanical parameter calculations and is iteratively improved through controlled test scenarios to ensure its robustness across diverse gait patterns. Key applications of the methodology include musculoskeletal model calibration, reliable gait analysis and seamless calculation of kinematic and kinetic parameters. Ultimately, this work advances biomechanical analysis and modeling, contributing to progress in clinical and research applications.
