摘要

This research presents the Analytic Hierarchy Process with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (AHP-FMEA) method for risk assessment in cogeneration power plants. In power generation systems, ensuring reliability and stability is crucial to minimize faults, prevent damage, and reduce downtime. Continuous operation of equipment is essential to meet electricity demand. This study compares three risk assessment methods — 5*5 matrix method, FMEA, and AHP-FMEA — using data from a case study of a cogeneration power plant in Thailand. Existing methods treat risk criteria equally, which does not align with real-world scenarios. In contrast, the proposed AHP-FMEA method accounts for the varying importance of each criterion based on experts’ preferences. AHP is used to determine the weights of criteria, which are then integrated into FMEA to assess the risk of each failure mode. This approach allows for a more accurate identification of critical failure modes and provides more nuanced, reliable rankings, reflecting the relative importance of each evaluation criterion in the overall risk assessment.
