This paper presents the implementation and evaluation of a module in Moodle that uses pre-trained language models, specifically ChatGPT, to personalize messages directed at students. The system relies on three main data sources: task submission history, forum participation, and academic performance. Using ChatGPT through the OpenAI API, the module generates tailored responses aimed at improving motivation and increasing participation in the learning process. The results obtained from the evaluation with real students are analyzed, highlighting the positive impact on motivation, academic performance, and interaction in the forums.

摘要

This paper presents the implementation and evaluation of a module in Moodle that uses pre-trained language models, specifically ChatGPT, to personalize messages directed at students. The system relies on three main data sources: task submission history, forum participation, and academic performance. Using ChatGPT through the OpenAI API, the module generates tailored responses aimed at improving motivation and increasing participation in the learning process. The results obtained from the evaluation with real students are analyzed, highlighting the positive impact on motivation, academic performance, and interaction in the forums.
