How to respond to the personal demands of the students? How to respond to the demands of the companies? How to bring the university closer to society? Higher education institutions have to face new challenges. Research focuses on Challenge-based learning as an active methodology that favors the link between university and context. In particular, in the field of computer science, the ability to work in a team emerges as a strategy that allows us to achieve significant results. The ICT tools used are the virtual classroom and the G-Suite spreadsheet. The results show that male students prefer to work in teams and only one mixed team was formed. In terms of computing topics, there was a preference for those related to web and mobile software development, which require specific ICT methods and tools to solve real problems. Tracking studies will be carried out in order to identify the teams that implemented the final proposals or obtained jobs related to these topics.
