Code Mission: Designing an Educational Tool for Programming Instruction
摘要
This case examines how to provide children in rural and remote areas with affordable programming resources and opportunities to develop computational thinking skills, to meet the core objective of “cultivating computational thinking” outlined in the information technology curriculum standards. We developed a programming puzzle game that combines board game elements with basic programming concepts in a simple, pen-and-paper format, allowing students to learn programming and strengthen their computational thinking skills with minimal hardware and software requirements. The game is easy to produce, deploy, and expand, making it highly adaptable and suitable for a wide range of applications.
