The Sharing of Educational Resources Between Urban and Rural Schools Enabled by Real-Scene Classroom
摘要
Changleping Primary and Secondary School, spanning over 70 years, has faced significant developmental challenges, such as a severe outflow of excellent teachers and students. In 2019, Yichang Tianwen Education Group took full management of Changleping Primary and Middle School. It implemented a new strategy known as the “six inputs” (manpower, culture, training, curriculum, funds, brand) to revitalize rural education. This initiative led to a remarkable increase in the school’s ordinary high school graduation rates, from 42 to 82%. The school has won the first prize for two consecutive years in Wufeng County comprehensive evaluation, leading to a stable return of students. However, the main factors restricting the development of Changleping Primary and Secondary Schools are outdated educational resources and an aging teaching staff. Tianwen School uses real-scene classrooms to enhance the efficiency of technology and equipment, effectively addressing the shortage of rural educational resources and teachers. Also, it complements the rural educational resources that urban schools lack, with the school and trusteeship school developing jointly. Online and offline interactions fully mobilize student enthusiasm, and the abundant resources make abstract cultural knowledge and scientific principles lively and engaging.
