The case is based on the concept and method of service-learning, aiming to improve the mental health of students transitioning from elementary to middle school, particularly addressing the growth challenges faced by immigrant children in Shenzhen. Guided by the principle of “helping people to help themselves”, this initiative targets ten 8th-grade students at the Shenzhen Luohu Education and Scientific Research Institute Affiliated School. The case centers around the theme of “Adolescent Mental Health” to organize a youth book exhibition. The aim is to assist students in enhancing their psychological adjustment abilities during the transition from elementary to middle school, while also raising public awareness about adolescent mental health. This activity leverages information technology as a medium to conduct extracurricular moral education activities, enriching students’ learning experience, stimulating their learning interest, and promoting their academic development. Students will enjoy extracurricular moral education activities through the use of information technology and will have the opportunity to learn professional skills as aspiring curators.
