The end time of after-school care services often conflicts with parents’ off-duty hours, leading to challenges in coordinating the pick-up of children. To address this issue, the “SafePick” intelligent system has been developed, which integrates a range of functionalities, including automatic notifications, online reservations, information exchange, location sharing, and duty clock-in. The primary goals of the system are to facilitate convenient transportation for parents, ensure the safety of both teachers and students, provide data to inform management decisions, streamline transportation logistics, and enable precise child pick-up. The system has received positive feedback from parents, teachers, and students, with favourable responses from the broader community.
