In this paper, taking the underground excavation project of Seocaodong in South Korea as an example, the application of TSM pipe curtain construction method in ultra-shallow buried underground engineering is studied by using the combination of ABAQUS software simulation and on-site monitoring. The simulation results show that the surface settlement is within the control range during the construction process of the TSM method, which confirms the accuracy of the numerical model. In addition, the maximum surface settlement in the actual construction did not exceed 50% of the specified value, and the construction period was shortened by 6 months, demonstrating the efficiency and economy of the TSM construction method in underground engineering.
