On Linking Learning and Game Goal in Serious Games Design
摘要
Establishing a connection between educational and gaming objectives is a fundamental challenge in the development of serious games. In this paper, we delineate the design process of two serious games: one focused on history for high school students and the other centered on mathematics for middle school students. The design process adhered to established frameworks and methodologies recognized in the literature. Evaluated using GUESS, the math game achieved high scores in terms of visual and audio aesthetics, playability, and personal gratification. The History game was evaluated based on game flow elements and achieved the highest score for clear goals and feedback.
